The fee: 790-052, €38.28 for an arraigo
For all five arraigos, the tasa 790-052 goes under item 2.3.1: €38.28, paid by the foreign national. On paper it is paid within the ten working days after filing; online, at the time of filing (Orden PJC/617/2025, art. 2). Other amounts in the annex: €38.28 (humanitarian reasons, collaboration, national security, public interest, additional provision 2.ª), €10.94 (victims of gender-based or sexual violence, trafficking, organised networks and the crimes in art. 128.2) and €16.40 (extension).
Where and how to file it
An arraigo is filed in person, at the Oficina de Extranjería (immigration office) of the province where you live, or online, through Mercurio (the online filing platform), with a digital certificate or electronic DNI and AutoFirma; the PDF receipt (resguardo) serves as proof (Mercurio step by step).
The application is personal: the foreign national files it or, if they are a minor or need support, their legal representative or the person who provides that support (RD 1155/2024, art. 130.1). Filing it electronically or through an accredited representative counts as appearing in person (art. 197): who goes in each box.
After filing
- Requerimientos (requests for documents): up to fifteen days to put things right; otherwise the case is closed as withdrawn (desistimiento) (RD 1155/2024, art. 130.3). How to respond.
- Time limit: three months from the day after the application reaches the competent registry; with no decision, it may be taken as refused (LO 4/2000, additional provision 1.ª). What to do.
- Tracking: check the status of your case.
- If it is granted, you apply for the TIE (foreigner identity card) in person within one month, with the EX-17 and the tasa 790-012 (RD 1155/2024, art. 130.6). It lasts one year; five for arraigo familiar (art. 125.2).
- Sociolaboral: once accepted for processing (admitida a trámite), it allows you to live here and work as an employee; once granted, it only takes effect when you are registered with Social Security (alta en la Seguridad Social) within one month (RD 1155/2024, art. 130.5).
For law firms: the EX-10 in Aproba
- It is generated on the official «Editable» EX-10, the same PDF the Ministry publishes, with section 1 filled in from the client's validated record, which Aproba can complete by reading their passport or TIE.
- It ticks section 7: «Residencia inicial» and the arraigo of the case (social, sociolaboral or familiar depending on the procedure; segunda oportunidad or socioformativo, chosen when generating).
- Section 3 carries the firm's details only if you indicate that you are filing. «Representante legal, en su caso» and the domicilio a efectos de notificaciones (address for notifications) are deliberately left blank.
- Everything stays editable: employer, training centre, place and date are completed in the same PDF, and the tasa 790-052 is generated from the same case file.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I download the official EX-10?
On the Ministerio de Inclusión's general forms page (modelos generales), for printing or in the «Editable» version. Both are the same five-page form, the RD 1155/2024 one, and it is free.
Can I use an old EX-10?
The Ministry only publishes the EX-10 of RD 1155/2024, in force since 20 May 2025, which repealed the 2011 regulation; its boxes cite the new articles, such as article 127 for the arraigos.
Which box do I tick for arraigo social?
In section 7, «Residencia inicial» and «Arraigo social (art. 127.c)». If your arraigo is based on employment contracts, the box is «Arraigo sociolaboral (art. 127.b)»: the form has no «arraigo laboral» box.
Who signs the EX-10?
The foreign national, in the box on page 3, or their legal representative if they are a minor or need support. If a professional files through Mercurio, they also sign the submission with their certificate.
How much does it cost to file the EX-10?
The form is free. The tasa 790-052 for an arraigo costs €38.28 (item 2.3.1) and is paid within the ten working days after filing, or at the time of filing if you do it online. For an extension, €16.40.
